Hiding and Resetting Updates
The Update Manager gives you the ability to hide updates
and messages that you do not want to view.
Hiding Updates
If you choose not to install an update or view a message,
you can hide it from the available updates list. To
hide an update or message:
- Select Program Updates from the Start menu. The Update
Manager opens.
- In the Update Manager dialog, select Check for Updates
Now. A list of updates and messages will be displayed.
- Select the update or message you want to hide.
- Click the Hide button.
The General tab of the Update Manager lists the number
of updates you have hidden in the status section.
Resetting Hidden Updates
If you have hidden an update from the available updates
list, but you later decide that you want to view or
install that update, you can restore that update to
the list using these steps:
- Select Program Updates from the Start menu. The Update
Manager opens.
- On the General tab of the Update Manager, click Reset
Hidden Updates. All previously hidden updates will then
appear in the available updates list.
